So you've decided to update your BIOS...

This update has various bug fixes, allowing
you to access larger hard drives of up to 32Gig,
gives better recognition of CPU's and extra hardware
and also has Trend ChipAway ROM virus protection.

I originally had no idea what my motherboard was.
After quite a bit of chasing around, I eventually
found it to be a PC-Chips M560 v4.1 board.

If your motherboard is identical to mine, then you
should have no problem with these instructions.

My original BIOS I.D. string was:
51-0505-001437-00111111-071595-M1531/43-001_10_TX_PRO-H

and my original BIOS date was: 08/27/1997 S

If you have the M560TG then the procedure should
be identical , but please note that the M560TG uses
a completely different BIOS to the M560 motherboard.

Make sure that you use the right BIOS.

I stuffed this update the first time I tried it.
My system wouldn't boot up and I nearly cried.
Luckily, I found some-one who could help me with my
problem and now my system is running better than ever.
